The National Intelligence Community (NIC) offers a range of career opportunities in some of the most important, challenging and rewarding work you can aspire to. Roles cover multiple disciplines for those with an interest, passion and curiosity about the challenges facing our nation – from intelligence officers, linguists, analysts, engineers, data scientists and cyber security specialists to psychology, human resources, finance, corporate and security professionals.
The NIC is made up of ten government agencies and departments working to collect, analyse and disseminate intelligence information and advice to protect Australia’s interests and people in line with national security priorities.
For those starting out in the workforce, the NIC offers a variety of entry level graduate, apprenticeship, cadet and traineeship programs where you can kick start a rewarding career straight from high school or tertiary study.
